A Little About Me.Hello there! My name is Lindsey Becker and I am 26 years old. I began teaching four years ago at Notre Dame Marist Academy where I taught math, language arts, and technology. After two years I made the move to the Troy School District where I am currently teaching 7th grade math.
I am very excited to be graduating with my Masters degree from Michigan State University this summer in Educational Technology. This past year I became the instructional technology coach at my school and am now in charge of planning professional developments and helping other teachers incorporate technology into their curriculum. My hobbies include running and working out, walking with my dog Stella, traveling, cooking, arts and crafts, and pretty much anything to do with technology! |
My husband and I on Lombard Street in San Francisco!
Family & Travel. My husband and I were highschool sweethearts and have been married for 3 years. He is an accountant (I know.. both math!) One of the things we love to do together is travel. We try to go on at least 2 vacations a year and love to travel around the United States to explore new areas. One of our favorite places is Traverse City, Michigan and we take a trip every summer to visit! Next summer we are planning to travel to Europe for 3 weeks!

Stella being Stella (she loves to be patriotic!)
Stella the Dobe.My doberman pinscher Stella is a part of the family. Since my husband and I don't have any kids yet - she is quite spoiled! My husband and I take her almost everywhere - walking, biking, dog parks, and even English Gardens to pick out flowers (the staff loves her there). One of my hobbies has been training her, and I have since begun working with a dog training company as a trainer myself (as a side job). It is something I am very passionate about and absolutely love doing!

Technology in the classroom! Wahoo!
Technology.Technology has always been one of my passions. After receiving my masters degree in educational technology, this passion has soared. I recently began as an instructional technology chair for my building helping other teachers incorporate technology into their everyday teaching. I love hosting professional developments and watching my colleagues learn and growth through their own pedagogical practice.
